Before the Basic Order was implemented, during the Ancient Era the powerful beings that existed did so as mortals do, driven by carnal desires, vanity, and progress. Unlike mortals whose lifespans were finite, these powerful beings were no different than demons, save for their incredible power and selfish motivations. These beings are for all intents and purposes erased from history, but to the Gods that lived from before the basic order the Dalnigaril were a race of "Dark" Gods that thrived on fulfilling their needs at the cost of sacrificing as many other living creatures as they could in the process.

Just before the institution of the Basic Order, as Cain and Ryuu battled the other Gods for supremacy among their numbers they outright killed several of the Dalnigaril, and banished the rest to a section of the Omniverse that had been rendered uninhabitable by mortals called The Black. To this day, nearly seventy-thousand years have passed and not a single Dalnigaril has managed to escape their holding.

Theories persist among the gods of the current fate of the Dalnigaril. Because of the toxic state of The Black, is believed that the surviving Dark Gods are no longer recognizable. One theory insists that they have become Eldritch Abominations that even the Gods should be afraid of, while Cain personally insists that whatever lies in the black has to be remembered in order to prevent such events from occurring again, and that what they are currently doesn't matter compared to what they have done.
