Silent Earth Empty Silent Earth

Post by Riley Oran Fri May 02, 2014 10:29 pm

The Collector arrived in the void with Solomon in tow, the spark in the form of the man. As he materialized in the Void, the familiar blackness embraced him as though it welcomed a sibling long gone from it's sight. He stood there in the emptiness, somehow floating through yet fixed in place as he spoke out and called for the being that they had come to see. "Death," did the voice call. "I have placed the harvest in it's place, and I have brought one spark that has requested the audience. It can not be claimed."

Silent Earth Empty Re: Silent Earth

Against the blackness of the Void, the formless being was almost invisible as it moved, no light cast upon it's form to give it a different color than it's surroundings. It was distant and suffocating, the wrath of ages boiled into a vapor that moved as a liquid through the non-space that leaked between dimensions, hidden far in the depths of the Void and away from prying eyes of curious gods. The entity of Death did lay in wait, presiding over all his children that he had escorted to their limbo so that they could wait for their reincarnation.

It swirled and stared past the blackness, engulfing the collector within it's writhing mass. For a moment the movements ceased, and there was silence that lingered beyond a reasonable time. Then, there was something. A voice in Solomon's head, but not from the outside. It was formless and without a tone or pitch, just a series of pictures, sounds, feelings to communicate language. This was how Death spoke to sparks. Mortal shells always interfered as they hid the spark within themselves, once they were freed Death showed them it's language.

A serious of cloudy and hazy images would appear in Solomon's mind, conveying anger and concern. There was wariness and curiosity as well, and in the conveyance of emotions a question.

Why have you come to this place?

"I hate this place." Solomon said as they entered the nothingness.

Solomon, or rather his spark, was drowning among the darkness. Limbo was by far, the most unnerving place in all of creation. He did not bother to look at Death but he could feel him, his power and everything else. Deaths form of communication is also the weirdest most unorthodox was to speak, extremely hard to recreate but Solomon was always stubborn and did like to mess around with Death a little.

To talk, what else? I want my sister, Death. Solomon conveyed using the same means of communication as Death, however Solomon's lacked all emotion. They were little more than facts being stated. I also want Eternity. She knows where to find something I am looking for. Solomon hoped, but did not think for a second, that Death would tell him what he wanted straight up.

More images would be sent into the man's mind. They would relate to his sister, showing him all her memories from her life in a blurry fashion. Not just her life that he knew, thought. All of her lives. Millions of years of smiling faces and heartache condensed into something barely coherent, yet recognizable.

This is your sister, Death expressed. It's entire existence. Animals. People. Fathers. Mothers. Her deaths, and her lives. Just as suddenly the images withdrew, before more pictures were placed. They illustrated a little ball of light being melded together with others and losing it's identity, then finally being passed into an even larger ball of light. Then, a feminine figure reached into that ball and broke off a piece, tearing it asunder and flinging it away.

More images would play, of yet more lives unfamiliar to Solomon. Your sister is awaiting her completion, that she may have her infinite lives anew.

"Your puzzle pieces of existence do not concern me Death." Solomon said, partially to himself and partially to the great entity that was before him. Before he pushed any farther with Annabell, he decided to focus on a subject less likely to annoy him. He sent images at Death. Ones of a kingdom far away and lost, of a large man with white hair rippling with energy as Solomon attempted to contain him before the destruction of the entire kingdom, millions dying. Leaving a barren landscape, and Solomon alone and untouched.

There is another like this. One larger and more powerful, and that is the spot in time and space that James landed. I'm looking for it and I hope you or Eternity can locate it for me. He knew how much each spark meant to Death and he hoped he would understand James situation of an alternate timeline. If the timeline collapses on itself everything that is in their no longer exists, including the single, solitary spark that was from our time. James.

The entity seemed to withdraw for a moment, pondering the information. Then, all at once the darkness would seize upon Solomon, surrounding him in what appeared to be a frenzy. Even Solomon could see though: three feet away, and no closer did it come. The flurry whipped violently before becoming still, and then from within the mass did something appear. A hand, masculine in shape and definitely human extended from within holding within it a small crystal. For death could show him his world, but directions in the void were ultimately a pointless endeavor for it was not fixed or physical.

More memories would be sent to Solomon's mind. Painful memories, of billions of balls of light disintegrating into nothing. An emblem of a heart, half of it black as night and the other brightest than the most brilliant star. The heart seemed twsited, and then vanished onto the chest of two men, one with eyes of burning orange and the other of electric blue, cutting against their silhouettes. Even they dissolved into nothing, and Death showed Solomon an image of James, forming into a ball of light and then suddenly turning dim. Clearly, it was there but it was so very dim. So much sadness and wrath surrounded the memories, and a desire to save surrounded the last image.

Then, that dim light became Solomon, and the image presented of Solomon became brighter until he vanished into the light. Death expressed it's sentiment through these images. I wish beyond hope to return you both to the cycle, so that one day you may become complete. It deposited the crystal in front of Solomon, letting it merely float there listlessly in place. This crystal will lead you to one home, prodigal Solomon. With that, the entity vanished leaving a final image. It was a black silhouette with a scythe and cowl, walking beside Solomon into a glorious light. May you one day come back to your true home.

Solomon's very being was halted by the onslaught of images and emotions. So much to take in at once so he had to focus on it all. He was pretty sure he got the just of it all, but Death had never said so much at once before. He was a man of few words than even Solomon. However his interpretation, the actual images were not the focus but it was Deaths emotions on losing a spark. He wanted James' spark back, just like Solomon wanted James back.

Next with the hand, which was more than he had ever seen in the void but the crystal was supposed to take him where he wanted to go. Good, he sent out a mental recap to every other self, telling them to relay on his position in three days time.

His spark took the crystal, "I will be back, but after I have dealt with this." He began to eave but before he did, he wanted to say one last thing. It may anger Death or it may just do nothing at all, but Solomon wanted to say it. He had never said this out loud before, but today was a day to do such a thing. "I hope I die one day. It's not within me to survive for eternity." With that the ethereal mercenary left, off to follow the crystal and find his friend.
