History

6000 years ago the world is populated by many kingdoms who are always warring for power. The first five manipulators show up and four of them come together to create Midland, the first and strongest of the true kingdoms ruled by them as the four kings. The fifth moves up to the mountains and becomes a monk, starting up a Temple.

5500 years ago the four kings get into a civil war and Carish, Disponia, and Willian are formed. This war continues on for two hundred years but Midland comes out victorious and makes a decree. The four kingdoms shall never war again as they are brothers, not in blood but in history. A couple dozen manipulators have popped up here and there over the last few generations but nothing too extraordinary.

4000 years ago The Temple has grown increasingly in strength and size and sends an envoy to each city, asking for manipulators in exchange for money, services and aid. This turns out to be extremely successful as the kings still recall the kindness the Temple has always showed to the kingdoms in times of need. The Temple grows even faster.

2000 years ago Sub-humans begin to show up and relentlessly attack the kingdoms and their people. The kingdoms beg for help from The Temple and its powerful and trained manipulators and for the next 500 years The Temple sends men out to each kingdom to protect and serve. Most of these men however integrate into society.

1500 years ago The Shattering happens, destroying the entirety of Midland and sending the other kingdoms into chaos. The kingdoms, without Midland to keep them in check, begin warring again. The Temple in face of such a tragedy reverts into itself, refusing to take anymore manipulators for an unknown reason. Sub-humans disappear.

1200 years ago Sub-humans reappear from the barren and began attacking the warring kingdoms and the kingdoms make drastic changes about manipulators. Carish and Willian start training their own into their military and police forces. Disponia creates martial law against them, viewing them as no different as sub-humans.

400 years ago The Temple re-opens its doors and starts to fight off the Sub-humans. Saving Carish from a terrible loss. Carish and Willian began exchanging manipulators with the temple again in exchange for their help in the wars.

200 years ago The Temple forces a truce upon the kingdoms to fight against the Sub-humans.
