So, the set up in Crisis at the moment is exactly what is said on the Tin. To keep the Amaranth from completely advancing into Africa, the United States military is about to take action. They have amassed there forces at a choke point, and are currently relying on three Delta Subjects to turn the tide.

Before I start saying anything, I want questions asked so that we can all have a full grasp of this situation. Every military angle of this operation should be considered, every bit of logic injected into this so we can have it make sense and before we decide the plot route we should figure out exactly what the fuck is going on.

And... go!

Dymitry Turncov has established weak communications with simple U.S. Military, hunkered down hard in Russian wilderness and capable of strong hit and run guerrilla tactics to keep the Amaranth backlines and home forces occupied and distracted. he requires no support, but demands that the american military hit them hard and make then hurt.

Are there any specific details that people might need to be reminded of? Personally, I haven't had the time to look into the Crisis timeline, which I'll likely do after this post. However, a brief synopsis of necessary information might help in giving us a foundation.

Showdown in Crisis: The Amaranth Military Front versus the Delta Subjects Empty Re: Showdown in Crisis: The Amaranth Military Front versus the Delta Subjects

Let me address things in order. They seem like just acknowledgements so pardon me, it's simply because I'm not sure how everything is going to fit together yet.

Alright, so the quick synopsis that relates directly to the invasion aspect.

In order to be certain that nobody could locate their point of entry, the Amaranth traveled to the other side of the world disguised with magic and began an assault on the country that accidentally allowed them entry in the first place: Russia. If Russia could open a breach, then theoretically they could close one which made them a massive threat. Rather than cause hysteria and make pushing through waves of bodies a problem, the Amaranth traveled up and around the world to Siberia. From this point they launched a very brutal assault and decimated the Russian forces in a single night.

It was a month later that Russia had gone completely dark in terms of the politicians and official military making contact with outside forces. Communication itself has not stopped, as we can see that Dymitry Turncov is currently in communication with US forces. A month after that, most of Europe and Asia also fell, but there are confirmed pockets of resistance in several areas.

Currently, to keep them to advancing further the US military is staging an operation at a choke point that leads into Africa. Currently the Amaranth are not interested in the Western Hemisphere, though it can be assumed that they are aware of it and in due course will make their way towards it.

What needs to be made clear are the status of high-end explosives. The method is undefined, but the Amaranth have managed to keep the large "City Buster" missiles from being deployed against them though magical means of affecting combustion. They've become little more than useless metal cylinders.

The Amaranth, while little more than bloodthirsty demons are a conquering force, meaning that they have come to conquer the planet, not destroy it. They want its resources, and the Human Beings that aren't fighting them so far are breeding-stock at worst, and second-class citizens at best. They wage a successful campaign of Shock and Awe, followed by swift suppression, followed by oppression.

Michael Lee is the commander; and leader of the 107th Mercenary Corps, which is currently active and has bases stationed everywhere around the world. He remains limited contact with other forces, preferring to work alone, however; he has no qualms about teaming up with others for a few missions.
