Planet idea: Vesmoria concept

The World of Vesmoria is still in its primitive state, with the predominant race in a state similar to humanities own medieval period. The predominant race being a bipedal species very similar to humanity, however unlike humans the Vesmorians Have small facial tusks, or horns, that protrude from their heads. Another difference is the height, standing on average at about 7'0" tall, some even growing to nearly 8'0".

The Vesmorians have developed culture, and their own mythos, complete with their own Pair of Gods, a brother and Sister. The Goddess of Light Ieltra, and her Brother the Lord of Darkness, Valen.

And of course like any gods a religion was formed to worship them, and this order called itself the Kinghts of the Order of Light, called the Order by most for short form. This Order was originally a saintly order formed to spread the word of the Goddess, before her corruption. After their sacrifice to seal the Gods however they became corrupted themselves, by lust for power, by greed, and by a weak leader. This leader has since been deposed. they are now devoted to restoring the goddess of light to her heavenly throne. Lead by an elderly man, Devotis Ordthar. This man has the smallest known Heart Stone, but it comes with a high price. His stone is cracked, and when he uses it's power the crack slowly spreads, slowly killing him. The knights of the Order come in various ranks: there are those who are mere soldiers, not a true part of the Order, then there are the Knightlings, those being trained to join the Order. Then the Lowest Knight classes, being Knight, and Watcher. Then there are the Archknights, then the High Champions. There are only ever ten high champions at a time, as they are the highest caste, directly under the High Lord of the Order.

Each Knight has a small territory to overlook, and usually several Watchers, Archers trained to fight from a mounted position, under their command. Of course the Archknights command their own legion of soldiers, having several Knights beneath their command. The High Champions and the High Lord govern over all the rest, living within the Orders home, the Bastion of Light. A vast cathedral to the Goddess, built in her image, with vast open areas and plenty of natural light.

Then there are the Freemen, a lawless criminal organization lead by a man named Telmon Driad, the most wanted criminal in all the lands.

Outside of the Order their are the various kingdoms, ruled by there respecitve monarchs, one of the largest of these Kingdoms is defended by the Revenant Knights. A group dedicated to defending the lands of King Couserdan, the great lands of Heldain. The Revenant Knights all wear armor decorated with the symbol of the land; a crucifix, with twin blades crossed behind it, wreathed in blue flames. Many of the knights use this symbol to mark other things of great importance, as well as to claim lands. Some go so far as to have the symbol tattooed onto their bodies.

Their armor is all generally the same, whether they be a foot soldier, or a general. There is some small differences for different positions, mostly adding protection to vulnerable areas.

The Revenants have different ranks in their order as well, the highest of course being the king himself. Then the High Lord, High Knight-Lords, The Knight-Lords, the knights, then the military, and then the commoners who get drafted into fighting, if needed. Each Knight is allotted a some piece of land and some serfs to tend it. The higher the rank of the Knight, the larger the piece of land.

Of course besides the Vesmorians themselves there are various other natives to the world.

Creaures of Vesmoria:

The World of Vesmoria has its varied climates, from desserts of green sand, to it's frozen poles, oceans, forests and mountains. The world Has its natural splendor, as well as it's artifical beauty. In the North, protecting a treasure trove from the Freemen, and any would seek to claim it, there is a wall. A wall made of pure light by the Goddess herself, so high that to stand on top of it is to brush the heavens themselves. Contained within this wall are holy relics, artifacts devoted to the Gods of Vesmoria.

Every Vesmorian has a Heart Stone in their breast, just behind the heart, nestled between the lungs. This Heart Stone is filled with the inherent power of the being, created at the moment of birth. A person needs merely to send thought, or commands consciously to the Heart Stone through a special 'nerve' called the Power Vein. Once the command has arrived, the Heart Stone fills the person with incredible power, this energy allows them to do things that otherwise are impossible. Most people are born with a Heart Stone, though few are not, and those normally don't live past the age of ten.

Every Heart Stone is different, size shape color and amount of power stored within. No one knows what the power exactly is, a piece of the Gods who created the world, Cosmic energy, vile black magic, etc... The larger a Heart Stone the less powerful the being who possesses it.

So i'm supposing the Heart Stones are a magical focus for power...but if i may ask; what would happen if an Extradimensional Creature that didn't have a Heart Stone in the First Place; would they still be able to function normally...besides being an oddity? XD

Otherwise; you have the Tech, A good amount of Lore; Bestiary; and a good amount detail on the world itself.

I would like it, however; if you'd explain more on the Magical Artifacts, and what cause they'd have on a person that would make somebody want them so...and possibly some notable scenery; such as a Giant Lake; Mountains...but otherwise, it looks good. ^^

Only the Vesmorians themselves have Heartstones, while other species on the planet can still do magic, and as such Extradimensional beings would be unimpeded by the lack of a Heartstone.

The Holy Relics give whoever possesses them the power of the Goddess, or the Lord depending on which they possess. Within the Wall resides four artifacts. The Chalice of Darkness, who so ever drinks from the Chalice shall receive the strength of the Lord of Darkness. The Ring of Light, who so ever dons the ring shall receive the power of the Goddess of Light.

The other two artifacts release the gods from their imprisonment within their respective domains. The Dark Lock and Key, turning the key opens the lock, freeing the Lord of Darkness from his imprisonment within the moon. The Locket of Light, opening the Locket releases the Goddess from her imprisonment in the sun.

Each artifact glows with an aura, matching the deity to which they are linked.

Mount Valen, named after the Lord of Darkness, is a massive Volcano, situated near the coastline of Heldain, it has been dormant since the Lord's imprisonment. The Volcano is easily the tallest natural edifice on Vesmoria.

The Intros mountain range is a beautiful range of mountains, cutting through the territory of the Order. These mountains are covered in forest, and they form a ring. Within this ring is what some would describe as a paradise. Waterfalls pour down from several of the peaks, forming a lake in the center, surrounded by beautiful forestry, with no artificial architecture in sight.
